vibe magazine table of contents analysis (12/4)

As it can be shown in the pictures the table of contents of the vibe magazine, consistently incorporates the logo of the magazine, which in this case is a "V" in the background of the page. This can help the magazine promote it's brand, as well as help the magazine tie all the elements together.

'vibe' sticks to their dark color scheme to maintain a theme throughout the magazine by using light background colors to make the dark colors of the text stand out. The word 'contents' has a san-seriff modern font, which could attract a younger audience. There's a couple of words in bold, which could mean that they are key words that will help the reader get an idea of what the topic of the magazine is going to be about. The table of contents is divided in three pages, as shown by the 1/3 next to the word "contents" and it comes in two sections:

features and fashion. One page is dedicated to an overview of the most important issues out of both topics. The second page goes in depth for the features and the third page is focused on the fashion section. It's more effective for the reader when they are looking to focus on one specific topic. Some may be more interested in the features section while others may like the fashion section more. Under the sections, there's page numbers and subheadings. Each subheading comes with information explaining what each topic is going to be about.

At the top left corner of the page, there's a 'V' to remind the readers that they are reading the Vibe magazine and it helps maintain a consistent theme. The text is usually at one side of the page so there's enough space for an image of the artist being featured. This helps keep everything organized, leaving enough space for the image and the text. The image is often a full body shot or a mid- shot. This could be done to show the clothing of the artist, referring to the fashions aspect of the magazine.
